Lots of opportunity to hike thats for sure! We didnt necessarily "do our homework" on this one. We choose to bushwack for a hot minute up and down 30-40 ft inclines instead of taking the much longer designated trails to get to our destination...with unnecessary gear (cooler with 12+ beers, big ass pillows, full sized tents, chairs, radio...compass, trail map, rope are a good idea)....HOWEVER, Lake Superior is breath taking, the back woods are gorgeous, and if you want some solitude this is a good spot. Backwoods sites as well as traditional campground settings.
